SIKA SOLUTIONS

We provided samples for a mock-up, allowing the owner and contractor to evaluate the products before installation. And we also provided technical support that conducted comprehensive on-site training for the contractor to ensure proper application of Sika products from preparation, product mixing to application. We used Sikagard® for the jetty piles and showcased its advantages that are suitable for maintenance of splash and tidal zones, such as: deep penetration into concrete surface to avoid peeling; high build – can be applied up to 250 microns in one coat; excellent adhesion to wet surface; curing under water after application; curing at low temperatures.

We conducted Joint Inspection with our Client, Contractor and Applicator for the Construction Jetty Buttom Slab, Beams and Pc Piles. Through that, we found the areas that need repairing such as: PC Pile damage coating; Un-treated concrete surface defects on both slab and beam like pinholes, bug holes, and honeycombs. This could have significant negative effects on the performance and durability of epoxy coating applied over them. To ensure a durable and effective epoxy coating, it is crucial to properly prepare the concrete surface by addressing these defects. Therefore, we used our innovative, high-performance refurbishment solutions, including Sika® Latex, Sika MonoTop®, Sika Refit®, SikaGrout® and Sikagard® for this project.
