In May 2023, Sika closed the acquisition of MBCC Group, a leading global supplier of construction chemicals. With a focus on innovation and sustainability, MBCC Group has been at the forefront of driving positive change in the construction industry. By joining forces, Sika and MBCC Group have created an innovation and sustainability champion with a global workforce of 33,000 experts. Sika is now active in 103 countries across the globe and operates more than 400 factories.
To comply with regulatory requirements, the brand “Master Builders Solutions” is not owned by Sika and after a transition period Sika must therefore rebrand all Master Builders Solutions products in our portfolio to a Sika branding. Only the branding will change, the highly appreciated MBCC products will continue to be offered under the new branding.The acquisition brings two complimentary portfolios together, offering a greater number of additional innovative and sustainable solutions you will benefit from. To facilitate this transition and allow for maximum transparency, we will share comprehensive product overviews via this dedicated landing page. We are convinced that with this solution we are creating a perfect platform for our customers to profit from a wide range of products and applications.
As of March 1, 2024, you will start to see the new product names on certain documents, like invoices and delivery notes or Safety Data Sheets in the following format: “Sikalastic XXX, formerly MasterSeal XXX”. As of April 30th, you will start to receive products with packaging under the new branding; however, it will take some time before all the rebranding has been implemented for all products. We expect that to happen around 15th October 2024 when all product packaging will have been rebranded.
Over the course of 2024, all marketing and technical documents will be updated to reflect Sika’s branding and the new products names. Please be assured: The quality of our products and services will not change by this exercise. We will periodically keep you updated on the status and your known Sika contacts will be happy to support you.
