Sika® Tile Grout

Cementitious tile grout for internal and external use.

Sika® Tile Grout is a water-repellent grouting compound consisting of cement, carefully selected fillers and an additive to provide first class work ability. It has excellent adhesion to dry tiles. It is especially formulated to minimize drying shrinkage and cracking. Sika® Tile Grout is supplied as a powder and only needs addition of water to make a ready-to-use smooth paste.

Usage

- To provide an easy and effective method of grouting the joints between ceramic tiles and mosaics in order to attain an attractive appearance and prevent the ingress of surface water behind the tiling. - Suitable for application on horizontal and vertical area.

Shelf life

9 months from date of production if stored properly in unopened, original packaging.

Storage conditions

Dry, cool, shaded place.

~ 1.2 kg/ltr (bulk density of powder).

Application

Application Information

Mixing ratio

0.36 – 0.4 litres of clean water per 1 kg bag.

Pot Life

~ 30 minutes (at 27°C / 65 % r.H).
Consumption

Consumption

Depends on the size of the tile.

Recommended joint width: 2 - 4 mm.
Application steps

MIXING

Add the powder to clean water and mix to a thick creamy consistency.

Always ensure that there are no lumps in the mix.

APPLICATION

Using a squeegee, sponge or brush, work the grout into the dry joints and around all edges.

Compress the grout into the joints with a suitable implement, such as a piece of wood shaped like a blunt pencil.

Removed surplus grout from the face of the tiles with a damp sponge.

When dry, polish with a dry cloth.

CLEANING OF TOOLS

Remove non-hardened Sika® Tile Grout from tools and equipment with water.

Hardened material can only be removed mechanically.
