SikaCeram®-100 VN

Prepacked Cementitious Tile Adhesive

SikaCeram®-100 VN is prepacked cementitious. The product is ideal for installing ceramic tiles, homogeneous tiles. SikaCeram®-100 VN can be used as thin bed or thick bed adhesive for floor and wall tilling works and is suitable for internal.

CURING TREATMENT

Waiting time before grouting:

Consumption is always dependent on the substrate surface profile and roughness, the size of the tiles and the joints between them, as well as on the application technique (single adhesive layer on the substrate, or with an additional ‘buttering’ layer on the back of the tiles as recommended for tiles larger than 30 x 30 cm). As a guide:

Coverage: ~7- 8m² per 25 kg bag (based on 2 mm mortar thickness).
 
Application steps

MIXING

Add approximately SikaCeram®-100 VN powder to approx 5.5 L - 6.5 L of clean water and mix thoroughly using a hand-held or mechanical mixer for 3-5 minutes until a homogeneous lump-free paste is achieved. Allow the mix to stand 1-2 minute and thoroughly re-mix for another 1 minute before using.

APPLICATION

Use a notched trowel for application onto the substrate and buttering onto the back-face of the tile to enhance the performance and proper coverage of the adhesive. Tile with deep grove should be properly buttered and ensure the tile adhesive grout have proper caverage in the inner grove of the tiles. The tiles should be firmly pressed onto the substrate and immediately tamped into position. Any adjustment of tile should be done within 20 minutes after application. Ensure the tiles and tiles adhesive are properly in contact with the substrate.

CLEANING OF TOOLS

Remove non-hardened SikaCeram®-100 VN products from tools and equipment with water. Hardened material can only be removed mechanically.
