Usage

Sika® TileBond GP is ideal for installing ceramic tiles, homogeneous tiles. Sika® TileBond GP can be used as thin bed or thick bed adhesive for floor and wall tiling works and is suitable for internal.

The consumption is dependent on the surface rofile and roughness of the substrate as well as on the size of the tiles and the placing technique (simple placing or backbuttering)
Application steps

MIXING

Add approximately Sika® TileBond GP powder to 5-6 L of clean water and mix thoroughly using a hand-held or mechanical mixer for 3–5 minutes until a homogenous lump-free paste is achieved. Allow the mix to stand for 1–2 minute and thoroughly re-mix for another 1 minute before using.

APPLICATION

Use a notched trowel for application onto the substrate and buttering onto the backface of the tile to enhance the performance and proper coverage of the adhesive.
Tiles with deep grove should be properly buttered and ensure the adhesive grout have proper coverage in the inner grove of the tiles.The tiles should be firmly pressed onto the substrate and immediately tamped into position. Any adjustment of tile should be done within 20 minutes after application.Ensure the tiles and the tiles adhesive are properly in contact with the substrate.
The wet mix should be used within the 60 minutes, depending on the ambient temperature.

CLEANING OF TOOLS

Remove non-hardened Sika® TileBond GP products from tools and equipment with water. Hardened material can only be removed mechanically.
