Usage

Floor Topping Compound is used as a leveling mortar on concrete floors prior to the application of carpet, vinyl, tiles, parquet, etc and can also be used to level old mortar screeds when refurbishing commercial areas.

Application steps

MIXING

  • Shake the Component A container vigorously prior to opening.
  • Pour the required amount of liquid (Component A) into a suitable mixing container and slowly at the powder (Component B) in the correct proportions while mixing continuously with the mixing paddle attached to a slow speed (max 500 rpm) electric drill.
  • Thoroughly mix until a uniform lump free consistency is achieved. A minimum mixing time of 3 minutes is recommended.
  • The consistency can be adjusted by adding slightly more powder or liquid if required.

APPLICATION

  • The mixed material should be poured onto the clean and pre-wetted floor surface.
  • The compound should then be screeded out and trowelled to the desired finish.
  • Immediately after application ventilate with spike roller to remove entrapped air and to obtain an even layer.

CLEANING OF TOOLS

Clean all tools and equipment with water immediately after use. Hardened Floor Topping Compound can only be removed mechanically.
