Sikafloor® Chapdur cures monolithically to produce a dense, high abrasion resistant surface. The floors have similar chemical limitations as other cementitious products.

Mohs hardness of aggregate: 6 to 7 (steel score)

According to the ambient temperature and the kind of cement used in
the slab, waiting time should be:

• Pedestrian traffic 2–3 days
• Light traffic vehicles 7–10 days
• Normal traffic 28 days

3–6 kg per m²
4 kg/m² for normal traffic area
5–6 kg/m² for heavy traffic area

As soon as the substrate of concrete has reached plasticity (after bleeding, but before setting begins) smooth out the surfacing of the freshly poured concrete and level off with a vibrating straight edge.

Sprinkle the Sikafloor® Chapdur mixture “by hand” over the smooth wet surface, at a rate of 3-6 kg/m². Allow the Sikafloor® Chapdur to absorb moisture from the substrate and when evenly moist, consolidate, power float the surface of the Sikafloor® Chapdur.

As soon as the mixture becomes plastic or just as it is about to set, carry out a pre-smoothing operation with the power float machine running at a low speed but fitted with a metal blade’s at a minimum inclination. The final smoothing operation (if necessary) is carried out some time later, but with the power float machine running at a high speed.

Sikafloor® Chapdur mixture surface must be protected to prevent rapid water loss which can result in surface cracks. Therefore approved curing system shall be applied.
