SikaLatex®

Bonding agent and waterproofing admixture

SikaLatex® is a modified styrene butadiene emulsion to be mixed with cement (neat) or cement/ sand mortar for improved adhesion and water resistant properties.

SikaLatex® provides the following beneficial properties to mortar:
  • Extremely good adhesion;
  • Reduced shrinkage;
  • Greater elasticity;
  • Excellent water resistance;
  • Improved chemical abrasion resistance;
  • Non toxic;
  • SikaLatex® does not reemulsify, even in high alkaline conditions;
  • Suitable for used in cement mortar in contact with potable water;
  • High strength floor screeds;
  • For filling and patching mortars that require thin layer finishing;
  • Improved flexibility and resistance to cracking;
  • As a bonding agent for renderings, for wear resistant floor toppings in water treatment plants, sewage systems.

Usage

SikaLatex® is a high quality emulsion that substantially increases the qualities of cement mortars, such as:
  • Bonding slurry;
  • Thin layer patching mortars;
  • Waterproofing renders;
  • Floor screeds;
  • Concrete repair mortar;
  • Abrasion resistant linings;
  • Tile fixing mortars;
  • Masonry mortars.
